Hello, my old computer has just about kicked the bucket and I'm looking to build a new one. I'm just looking for advice since this will be my first build and pretty excited. So let me start from the top, from research I'm looking at purchasing the following.

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B250M-DS3H
Prosser: Intel i3 7100 "Kaby lake?"
Video card: MSI RX 480 Armor 4G
Ram: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT DDR4 RAM X2
Power: EVGA 600 BQ

I already have a nice mid tower with 3 -pull fans and a hdd. I was trying for >500$, slightly over now.
Now what I'm asking is if this is a good build for a gaming setup and some video editing. I'm not looking for anything extreme, just wanting to have a reliable and upgradable system. Question 2 what else will I need to buy to completely set it up like cabels, cooling, and software wise.

Thank you, Richard M.

Solution
I would go with a Pentium G4560, as it is hyperthreaded and not much slower than an i3 7100. That PSU is not a quality model. Swap it for a Corsair CX550m, or 650m if you want some more upgrade headroom.
