Good Morning, so i decided to have a decent gaming PC and get a chromebook for schooling as its very lightweight and has 10+ hours battery life. So i got all the parts, most new, some used and I built my first PC!

I was wondering if i overpaid for the parts to build the pc?

AMD fx 6300-$40 CAD
M5a97 r2.0 mobo-$40 CAD
Adata XPG 8 GB RAM (4x2/1600mhz)-$40CAD
EVGA 500W 80+ psu-$40CAD
Corsair Carbide Series SPEC2(4 Fans included)-$55CAD
R9 270X Reference- $50CAD
GAMMAX 200T deepcool-$15CAD

So the system in total was around $280 CAD which is around $210USD.

It boots up into the bios and everything seems well! gonna get a keyboard tomorrow and install windows.
Do you guys think this was worth it for the price?

Solution
it is ok for a low budget machine. obviously it is not going to play newer games with maxed out settings but you should still get a lot of fun out of it.

For the price it's a decent machine for playing some games from time to time. Just don't expect high visuals on the latest games. You should be able to run most older games (Bio shock, GTA IV, LOL, Call of duty etc...) Pretty comfortably.

Yes so I just got the system working. I bought battlefield 1 and it seems to be running surprisingly much better than expected. Getting 45-50FPS on Ultra settings 1080P. I can achieve 60+fps by going down to medium-high.
