Hi guys I am a newbie in the pc building world. I am looking for a build to play overwatch at high or above settings and some other extra games at low~medium (the new resident evil, bioshock etc)

I see from many posts that the i3-6100 is a good match up for this GPU but my mindset is that I'd like to spend a little extra for a quad core vs a duo and to keep a pretty decent CPU in case I upgrade my other components (RX460 to GTX1060 when the price goes down perhaps) to avoid "bottleneck-ing?" my potential better GPUs

As for the RAM, i see that ddr4 is "better" in what ways is it better? and could you guys recommend me a 8G setting (2X 4G) that fits in with a budget mother board + CPU? + RX460.

Please and Thank you!

So if you go with Pentium G4560 that is almost same as i3 6100 you for extra budget you can get better GPU.
So something like this.

I found that H170 has a bit more features than H110 MOBOs.. but I won't be doing anything with the BIOS (Who cares) I will be just plugging in my cpu and gpu to play my games

With this, do I need a H170 mobo?

For me an important factor is the sound and generally H170 mobos have better sound than H110 mobos??

could you recommend me a good H170 mobo if not H110 mobo wit good sound

This is a good reference for the differences between chipsets.

The H110 chipsets have less capability as it were, and generally the chipsets define what is the theoretical maximum expansion ports/lanes/slots you have access to. In a sense, a H110 motherboard is the simplest of a plug and play build, but then any motherboard is plug and play. Even with a Z170 motherboard you don't have to enter the BIOS if you don't want to (though I'm sure there will be those who don't see the point). While the Z170 chipset is for enthusiasts, I would choose a motherboard depending on my anticipated requirements. So consider how important the following are to you:

(1) Will I be plugging in a lot of peripherals?
(2) Will I be plugging in a lot of hard drives?
(3) Do I want to use M.2 or NVMe?

Different manufacturers will make their motherboards slightly differently. So it's very much a case of investigating your options.

I confess I've never taken much notice of the sound options on motherboards. The last few I've had, from different manufacturers, all used the Realtek codecs for onboard sound. ASUS's Z270 motherboard uses the same as an H110, but their enthusiast motherboard does use something different: https://www.asus.com/uk/Product-Compare/?products=xymqYnwgg4Ptsz2I,BDgERYPbZRsMyVdE,6LPvJB3Wo4uZiUT7,dh5Yul31ZtYEJq9c&b=0.

A quick search suggests to me the onboard sound options are fairly uniform (perhaps standard). Shielding will likely be a larger factor in audio playback, but I don't see sound quality being mentioned in motherboard reviews. However, other audio hardware (external and internal) exist; I see something called 'DAC' mentioned but I can't comment on quality though. I suspect many invest the money with respect to audio on a good set of headphones/headset.
