Overclocking RAM (timings) with AMD Overdrive.

Greetings all,

I have access to tweak my RAM timings in AMD Overdrive (but not in the BIOS).
However I am a bit worried about doing this.
Is this even possible (I have available options so I know I CAN, but I fear it may just lock up my system the moment I do).

A8-7650k 3.3Ghz with iGPU 720Mhz (overclocked to 960Mhz, stable)
Hyper 212 Evo
[BCLK 100Mhz] <- not changed, yet...
A68HM-E33 V2 (added copper heatsinks + direct fan to cool VRMs)
CX600w PSU

2x8Gb Crucial (normal - NOT ballistix or anything) RAM, 1600Mhz@CAS11 (which bumps to CAS13 timings when overclocked to 1866Mhz in BIOS).

I've been using 1866Mhz overclock for over 6 months (at 1.5v)

BIOS memory timings are greyed out but memory frequency can be OC'ed & has been, successfully from 1600Mhz -> 1866Mhz

But in AMD Overdrive, under the Memory tab I can tweak/tighten the timings.

1.) what are the chances my system will simply lock up with AMD OD memory timing tweaks?
2.) if I OC/tighten the timings a little, and the system freezes, because this is an in-Windows OS Overclock, what are the chances I will not be able to revert the timings to their original specs?
I.E. Bios reset - would that reset timings as well, if amended?
3.) finally, anyone else, played around with memory timings in BIOS and/or in OS?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Cheers

Thanks for lightning fast reply!

There is an option to tick, in AMD Overdrive, to save settings when rebooting.
I've actually done this for CPU + voltage + NB + iGPU Frequency changes/OC tweaks & 'what if' (althought prefer to use BIOS first) so I do not believe this will be an issue.

What is your experience with memory timings overclocking? I'm sure you can teach me something from your experience. :)
