What kind of wattage/psu would be needed for the following system:
2x Xeon 2670 2.8ghz
128gb 16x8GB ECC ram
2x EVGA SC GTX 980
500GB SSD

Solution

You will be surprised how much that ECC RAM takes. HP Z800s had 1100W for similar capabilities. I would go for 1000 - 1200.
