It's a little complex.
My computer shuts off at very peculiar moments, it's not consistent, i can't always replicate it, but they seem specific, not just random.

From what I remember, my computer has shut down:

  • ■ When I clicked apply after changing some settings in my graphics card's control panel (nvidia)
    ■ After opening a game (Dark Souls III), setting it to windowed mode because I wanted to watch videos as I played, starting to watch the video while playing, and it shut itself off when I pressed alt+enter to set it to fullscreen mode again. I am able to open the game in fullscreen mode, and also to turn it back into fullscreen mode, but sometimes it shuts my computer off.
    ■ It also for some reason shut itself off as soon as I pressed RB on my controller, after leaving my windowed game running while I was afk for 2 minutes or so. My controller is wireless, so it has a USB thing connected to my computer which catches the signal from the controller.
    ■ When I tried to open an app that requires me to give it permission to start up. It shut itself off after I clicked the app, but before I could give it permission. I think the message didn't even get to pop up. You know how the screen flashes a bit when it's about to ask you permission to do something? That the background behind the pop up turns darker? That's when it shut itself off.
    ■ When I opened a microsoft website about antiviruses after clicking the red flag icon on the taskbar (in case this is good info which i doubt, i noticed that my screen didn't turn black instantly, it turned partially black, leaving a horizontal chunk of screen still lit for a split second before turning completely black, kind of like, without v-sync.)

All of that happened in the last 12 hours or so. My computer was doing perfectly fine, say, 3 days ago.

I've been having some trouble with other stuff as of late, but it's not my main problem.
My hard drive was writing and reading data quite slowly, one particular Steam game update download was getting unpacked at snail's pace and it was just 31 MBs...
I recently installed an update for avira, which brought some new BS apps, and after I ran it's "system speedup" app, all of this stuff started to happen.
I've been also experiencing some bad internet speed and ping after the system speedup, but it might just be that I moved my computer to a different spot on my house and it's having trouble hooking onto the wifi. I also had a few blue screens thanks to a virus which avira took care of.
I uninstalled Avira after seeing all of these problems happen right after the update and system speedup. That's why I'm trying to get a new virus right now.

Some recommendation about antiviruses is also very much appreciated.

My pc is using windows 7, cpu is an amd fx 8350, graphics card is a gtx 750, the psu is a sentey BXP65-OR.
