Hi! been having some trouble keeping my SSD drive (my current boot drive) empty, but with no luck. I tried disabling hibernation, keeping the pagefile for that drive on minimum, and also rerouting the users directory to my storage drive. still, the current free space is only 15 Gb out of 120.
i would greatly appreciate some help!

Solution
apart form moving those things and deleting the temporary files form a windows update that can use up to 15 gbs, not much else can be done apart of searching folder by folder and verifying what size it has and why it occupies so much space

also remember to install ccleaner, to delete temporary files

menawhile save some money to get a 24ogb ssd, iam doing the same, my install weights 24 gbs and with gta v in it, i have 19 gbs free, not enough to run a windows anniversary update
Well, first, it's not 120GB but only 111 GB, than it has some partitions which also detract from that number so you may end up with only about 90GB for C:.
W10 folder alone will end up as 20+GB and than there are installed programs and APPs. Updates may also take some space too. Use Disk cleanup to get rid of any "extras", kill or lower space for system restore too.
Ccleaner and http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/uncleaner.html can also clean up a lot of space.

well, what do you have installed on your pc?

do you have a games library from ubisoft or steam?

if you keep your personal documents and download in the ssd, you can move those folders to the other hard disk that still has 250gbs free

are you using windows 10?

have you deleted the temporary files created by any big windows update?

Solution
1. You do not need a pagefile on **that** drive.... having one on just one drive is fine. many would argue against putting a page files or remp files on any SSD under any circumstances. Move page and temp file directory to another drive.

2. Never let Windows have it's way ... never install programs to C:\ProgramFiles directories.

3. Ignore "My Documents". You could change the default location but simply ignoring it is much easier. We've been ignoring it since Windows 3.0. When yu want to save a copy of your resume, create a folder on your other drive called "Job Stuff"
