Help with power supply upgrade

I currently have an evga 600 watt and want to get a new psu. I'm going to do an 8 core overclocked build this year. Both the 850P2 and 1000G2 are on Amazon priced at $138 ish. Any input would be appreciated.

1000g2 has eco mode too, go for it then. However with such setup even quality 800 will be more than enough, if u dont believe use online calculators, even at pcpartpicker.com is pretty accurate. Ill pass here, good luck

What cpu are you going to get? Your 1070 takes max 200W if overclocked, i doubt there is or will be any new gen cpu that will draw over 200W.
I recommend to find out how much your new cpu will draw and then consider to buy a new psu. But if u decide that u want to waste some money then 850 will be plenty even to run 2 x 1070 in sli... my 2 cents

I'm going to be building with the new x299 chipset in August and a compatible octa-core. If I were estimating power draw, I guess it would be similar to an overclocked 6900k. I'm still undecided about getting a second 1070 but I probably will. The platinum would be nice for the power efficiency and eco fan mode, but the 1000G2 would mean no worries "hakuna matatta".
