I took the Motherboard and power supply and all the fans out of my troublesome Dell XPS and replaced the whole system. I ordered and received an ASUS Motherboard. I put LED fans in and an LED strip down the front.

But I just the Motherboard today, installed the Ram and Processor, still waiting on some paste and a fan/heat sink for this build.

Now in the process of installing all the cables for front panel support, 2 questions arise.

1) the IEEE cable coming from the front of the machine is about 2 1/2 inches too short to reach the IEEE 1394 port on the Motherboard. I am wondering if there is some kind of extension available for this, and if there is where could I get one?

2) Does such a cable exist? Could any body make me one? Length does not matter, 4 to 6 inches would be OK.

As you can see in the picture, with the cable sitting as would in the port, how far away it is from the port to the right, where has to go. I Just held the cable there to show you how far it is from that Black Port

OK folks, I went to Ebay, did about 30 different search terms and did not find what I needed, then I went to my search engine, which is BING, and about 4 or 5 links down I found this item -http://www.frozencpu.com/products/11780/cab-372/Akasa_IEEE1394_Internal_Extension_Cable_-_400mm_EX1394I-40.html?tl=g12c34s276&id=yuSYW6xK Which fits the need perfectly
