I am getting ready to rebuild my gaming PC. This is going to be my first rebuild. I intend to remove all of the old components from the case in order to clean up the dust that has collected in it over the last three years. I want the case to be free of dust before I install the new components. The case is metallic. I have frequently used compressed air to clean the components. My question is would it be safe to use a regular dust rag or cloth to clean the case after all of the components are removed or is there safety hazard of static somehow building up and lingering in the metal frame? with all the parts out of the case there is no concern about using something like a rag to clean the inside of the case.
