i5-4690K 3.50GHz vs intel pentium G3258 3.20GHz

Solution
Most games will run better with a non-overclockable i3 then they will with the g3258.

Reason being is that games are multi-threaded so 4 3.0 ghz cores/threads is better then 2 4ghz cores.

Unfortunatly because the g3258 was able to match the i7 in very specific benchmarks people blew it up and make it sound like that $60 pentium was better then a $260 i5; and a lot people "drank the kool-aid"

From what I've read BF1 will use about as much CPU power as you can throw at it. Unfortunately I've heard of many people not having a great gaming experience in BF1 with a new i7 and a 1070 or 1080. If you can find an i7, that would be better, but the i5 would definitely be an upgrade over the 3258.
