I have a desktop with a 600W generic PSU and I plan to buy a 750Ti next week since my PSU doesn't have any 6-pin connectors.

Now for the past year or so I noticed that my PSU does weird things when I added a 160GB HDD (Windows 7 OS drive) like BSOD and causing my other 500GB HDD to turn off. When I swap the power connectors from the PSU to the HDD, the 160GB turns off and the 500GB doesn't.

I might have said if your noname psu was functioning normally, then yew you could attach a GTX750ti.

But in this case NO.
Your psu is flakey and a cheap psu can be dangerous if it breaks while overloaded.
It will not have sufficient protective circuitry to protect your other parts from damage.

Buy at least a tier 3 unit from a list such as this.
300w may do it, but 450w would give you some growth.
