Hi,

i just ran the Fur Benchmark test and was monitoring with CPUID Monitor and MSI Afterburner.
I have i5 4690K and overclocked it to 4.4.
What happened is that one of the for CPU's was constantly on 100% whereas the other three were between 10-60%.
Is this how cpu's work? Or is there something broken already?

Yes this is how your cores work depending on your Bios settings. It is only when stress testing that you would see all cores utilizing 100%.

What I meant is that during the testing only one out of four cores was constantly on 100%.
I imaged something balanced like all be around 80% but not one on 100% and the rest way below.

What other changes in Bios did you make when you OCed to 4.4GHz.? And what stress test were you using.? Some Bios settings allow for sync on all cores or set individually.
Nothing to be concerned about during normal operations. It is when all cores at 100% when you are not doing anything that you need to worry. That can be a possible virus or background service hogging your system.

Have you checked your Power Scheme in Windows. Here you can choose between Performance and Balanced. Try it in both and see the difference.
