Hello. I've just upgraded my graphics card to the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080. Everything has seemed to be working find until I tried to run the game "The Forest". My computer instantly rebooted itself. I decided to play League of Legends instead and it worked until I changed my fps settings to uncapped which is when my computer rebooted. If it counts for anything... I can play low quality games like RuneScape with no problem.

Here are my computer's specs:

Processor 1 x Intel® Core™ i7 4820K Processor (4x 3.70GHz/10MB L3 Cache) - Intel Core i7 4820K w/ Intel Performance Tuning Protection

Processor Cooling 1 x Corsair Hydro Series H60 Liquid CPU Cooling System - ARC Dual Silent High Performance Fan Upgrade (Push-Pull Airflow)

Memory 1 x 32 GB [8 GB x4] DDR3-1600 Memory Module

Motherboard 1 x MSI X79A-GD45 Plus-- 5x PCI-E x16, and 6x SATA 6Gb/s

Power Supply 1 x 750 Watt - CORSAIR CX750M MODULAR POWER SUPPLY

Primary Hard Drive 1 x 2 TB HARD DRIVE -- 64M Cache, 7200rpm, 6.0Gb/s - Single Drive

Data Hard Drive 1 x 1 TB HARD DRIVE -- 32M Cache, 7200 RPM, 6.0Gb/s - Single Drive

Power Protection 1 x Mighty Voltage Regulator - Opti-UPS SS1200-AVR - Maximum Capacity: 500Watts

Solution
Well, I solved my own problem. I happened to have ordered a brand new power supply in order to get the 8pin power connector required for the gtx 1080... I replaced the old power supply and my problem was solved.
