PC freezes randomly

So I recently had this problem with my pc, that it just freezes randomly and does not respond to mouse/keyboard. It then turns off after like 5-7 mins and sometimes has problems with booting (just reboots like 3-5 times even before bios splashscreen). This happens on completely random points, like just browsing or watching youtube, it also happened a lot of times when pc was just idle, and it even froze at bios splashscreen and windows loading a couple of times.

An the main problem is that I can't identify the source of problem. I've cleaned the dust inside of the case (not like there was a lot of it, but some), I recorded system logs with hwinfo to monitor the temperature of cpu, videocard and motherboard and it is always around 20-40 degrees C. I have also tried reinstalling drivers for my videocard using ddu and it didnt work. And the worst thing is that I can't reinstall windows, using win10 reinstall tool, because it always freezes mid process. I've also run chkdsk for both of my drives and it didnt find any problems. I really hope that you guys can help me to identify the source of this problem.

Here is my build:

Windows 10 Home (RS1) 64bit

I7-2600

2x4gb kingston 1333mhz ram

Asus gtx 1060 3b

Gigabyte H61M-D2-B3 motherboard with latest bios

2x1tb seagate barracuda HDD

Thermaltake TR2-S 700W PSU

Solution
This sounds bad, try to reinstall windows on your second hdd to test, doubt your new psu were killed by motherboard.
If you dont have windows copy on u use this to test https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/evaluate-windows-10-enterprise
Use this tool to make a bootable USB https://www.microsoft.com/nb-no/download/windows-usb-dvd-download-tool
Connect usb and restart your computer, go to bios and choose boot option. Follow instructions, all this will take like 1 hour max.

Btw why u cant just bring all what u purchased back to the shop and get your money? It will be sad if the whole problem was because of HDD.

Hi.
I don't mean to sound like a twat, but the first rule in any PC self-stopping investigative procedure is to check that the wall socket and all power leads have stable, "wiggle-free" wiring connections, and that each cable is pushed home firmly and securely.
Even moving a PC by just a millimetre or two, or a little knock, can twist the power lead loose.

Rare but good point worth checking

Btw can u check event viewer>windows logs>system, maybe some errors there?

Nope, nevermind the problem is back again. Can it possibly be related to the fact that I've disabled all win10 suff, like built-in apps, defender and updates?

Well its just unexpected shutdown message, not this im looking for. So you didnt get any other warrnings or errors beside kernel power 41?
So your pc didnt have this problem before u just got it recently right? Did it became worse and worse everyday or just happened suddenly?
Well bad power supply can cause many things that also associated with cpu or ram. Weird nobody else willing to help u here :S

Nope, no other errors.

It just started happening suddenly, I was playing skyrim or smthing like a couple of days or so and it just froze, then it began freezing in any apps, even when pc is idle. It can be ok for several hours but it can also freeze every 5-10 mins.

I also think that this is most likely caused by psu, as it has problems turning on after a freeze. Pc just goes into 5-10 reboot cycles even before loading bios and I had similar problem when my last psu died, but I've also checked voltage of psu lines with hwinfo while running furmark and it had something like 0.4V on 3.3V line. I think that it may also be caused by motherboard malfunction, as these values are measured by mb's sensors. And I just hesitate bying new psu and mb especially as I'll most probably have to switch cpu as well, because I haven't seen any 1155 socket motherboards for sale.

Hmm you say after freeze it goes into 5-10 reboot cycles but u can enter bios anytime right?
I think it can be HDD too, do you have any hdd laying around to test?
But first try this http://www.seagate.com/gb/en/support/downloads/seatools/ test software from your hdd manufacturer

Nope, I can't actually enter bios. It reboots before splashscreem and it froze during splashscreen 2-3 times. I have second hdd, but I dont really know how to reinstall windows10 on it, because I don't have a disk or anything, I've upgraded from win7 a year ago or so.

well then its not HDD problem, u can enter bios even without storage hardware in the computer. So after u said that it reboots before bios post i think its PSU. Btw did u check all wires cables, connections on your motherboard like guy above suggested?

I got my new psu today, pc worked fine for couple of hours and then froze again. Tried to turn on, froze on the bios splashscreen and turned off. So, I guess it is motherboad then?

Dont really know, what i would do, what is possible to do in my country at least. Go to local shop (online will work but must pay for shiping back) buy a new motherboard, test works then keep. If still doesnt work bring it back and get your money back. Else im out of idea, never had something similar before.

Thats actually hillarious. Just got new mb, cpu and ram, 20 mins in my pc froze, now doesnt turn on, constant reboot. I guess the old mb killed my new psu as well.
