I have a TP-Link TL-PA411 kit (this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0084Y9N3O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and lately it has been giving me trouble.

I live at home with my family and within the last week we have been having dropouts on wireless connections. We rang our ISP and they said it's probably caused by something that is plugged in close to the router. The only thing that is plugged in is the adapter for my powerline connection to my desktop PC. When we unplug that adapter suddenly there are no dropouts and everybody in the house can get a stable WiFi connection.

I don't see how having the powerline connected could affect the wireless network so much. I should also note that when the powerline is connected there is no internet access through it although I am still able to ping my router.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Solution
Uhh, well, your problem is clearly the powerline adapter.

So either get a new/better one, or look at another solution like wireless or running ethernet cable through your walls.

This seemingly happened out of nowhere though. Do you think it could have just decided to stop working?

Yes, very likely.

They're finicky products.
