Hi guys!

I'm gonna buy some Corsair Vengeance LPX RAM sticks (2x8Gb, 3200MHz, exact model name is CMK16GX4M2B3200C16R) for my X99S mobo. But it seems from official site like it only supports Intel 100 series mobo... Does it mean this memory is guaranteed to not work? I always thought X99 series are better...

I got those sticks yesterday. Firstly, I couldn't make it stable at default XMP settings. Manually setting the voltage to 1.35V didn't help either. Then I set voltage to 1.37V, and it works for now. But while the read speed in AIDA64 test increased from 32000 MB/s to 44000 MB/s (Kingston 2133/CL 14 is my old memory), the write speed remained almost the same (22500 MB/s and 24000 MB/s respectively). And it feels kinda frustrating... Any suggestions?

X99 and Z1XX spec are just marketing tools. Try backing the mem speeds back to 3000 to increase stability. The performance difference is negligible, and you can't put a price on peace of mind. Any speed higher than 2666mhz and you're in like slim.

I wanted to get 4 sticks and this kit is for testing purposes only. So I can buy 2 sticks more to see if the quad channel configuration helps, but then I won't be able to return those sticks back to the store. Or I can return these 2 sticks now back to the store and buy Kingston HyperX Predator 3200/CL 16 (HX432C16PB3K4/32). What would you guys advise?
