I just got a new gaming rig, and it only came with a 120gb SSD with Windows 10, so I decided to get a larger HDD for storing all my programs and such. I partitioned and formatted it just fine, but things will still download to the C drive. I have tried searching for answers on the internet but nothing seems to help. So far, I have tried going into the settings and changing the default location and changing the default path in registry editor. I'd appreciate any input.

Solution
Davida9202,

1. open a explorer window
1. make a new folder called "Documents" on your D:\
2. right click on documents, got to properties, then select location tab, enter new location d:\documents
system will ask to move all files to new location.

repeat the same process for downloads, pictures, videos, music, this will ensure all those files are properly moved to D: drive but also set in system where the path are going to be located from now on by default

hope this answers your question
