Hi all

My psu is 1200 W. When i will connect both of cards psu doesn't turn on computer. Both 6 and 8 pin is connected on both of cards. I don't understand what problem is. When I disconnect the second card so it works again.

Could it be because of one card needs 700 W PSU so two need 1400 W ? But its crazy 1400W for 2 x GPU ??

Regards

See if you can manually activate CrossFire in Crimson (http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/How-to-Configure-AMD-CrossFire-Using-AMD-Radeon-Settings.aspx). Of course, have both cards plugged into motherboard but only one connected to the power.

The CrossFire button might be greyed out, though. So - just tell me what happens.

Did you forget the CrossFire ribbon ?

I'm just adding this here - the computer should start up either way, even without the CrossFireX ribbon.
Anyways, the wattage that the mentioned in the first post is the RECOMMENDED wattage of the PSU for your computer. No GPU takes up 700W of power.
