I7 7700k delidding

so I just built my PC with OC in mind.
Specs are:
1- CPU: i7-7700k 2- Motherboard: MSI Z270 Gaming pro carbon 3- RAM: Kingston HyperX (1x8 @2666) 4- power supply: 750W 5-cooling system: NZXT KRAKEN X62 6- storage: 256gb M.2 PCI x 4 ssd & 1TB HDD 7-case: Corsair Carbide 400C Mid Tower 8- GPU: Asus GTX 1070 Strix.
the system runs like a charm but the CPU temps are driving me crazy..
even at max RPM when overclocking to 5.0 GHz the CPU goes to 100 c and goes down to 4.8 clocks..
so i just brought the clocks down to 4.8 GHz @ 1.320 V..
but all I'm thinking about is delidding the CPU and change the internal paste..
so i did a little research and found Cool laboratory Liquid Ultra Paste to be the best..
Unfortunately it's not available in my country and i have to get it from eBay..
so i searched for other options and didn't find any metal paste around only normal ones..
my question is: What kind of thermal Paste do i need to use to delid the CPU?

Solution
Any premium compound should work well. TBH delidding will make the most difference in your temp drop. Any paste gains would be far less dramatic in comparison. Do you have access to Arctic MX-4/silver 5?

I wouldn't do that with a $350 processor.

I seen this and thought , man I wish I had the cash to just blow on something like this . beat the lid off, damage the CPU, shrug shoulders , go get 2 more and try, try again

I guess some folks just got it made to do them things with out any recourse

like here put a nice CPU in a vice like it was a thrown off horses shoe to be fixed

I'm just glad my parts work stable and run well when I fire it up , I'm happy with that 100%

good luck on your project

Maybe, just maybe, your particular CPU is not destined for 5.0 GHz.

i know and i'm nervous to do it but it's better than killing it with heat

no buddy.. i get 5 GHz @ 1.350 stable only the heat makes the CPU throttle on a stress test but while gaming and heavy multi tasking it goes to 80 c which worries me
and the recommended voltage for the 7700k at 5 GHz is 1.375 and i manage to do so at less voltage.. meaning if i have better heat dissipation i could go to 5.2 stable

body if i had that kind of money i wouldn't be asking here i would just get the stuff and go do it XD
TBH i'm brock this month because of the PC but it's worth it..

You should train first on old 2€ core 2 duos.

hitting 5.0 GHz is like breaking the sound barrier. us earthly beasts like hearing the sonic boom :)

And breaking the sound barrier is usually done in an aircraft that someone else paid for.

TBH from the day Kaby-lake was announced and i saw it boost to 4.5 i new it can hit 5 GHz easily and that was my goal..
4.8 is good too but the feeling of 5.0 it's just not the same..
and actually after i added an M.2 i really noticed the deference between 4.8 and 5,0 !!
boot jumps from 16 sec to 9 load times are even better everything is just so smooth..
so weather it's good or not i want to get it stable
