I have this fan x2 https://www.arctic.ac/eu_en/arctic-f12-tc.html

And i want to install both of them in one header while have the potential to controller them what do i need?

Note: I don't mind if both of them run at the same speed i just want to control the percentage of the speed.

My motherboard is the Asus Maximus Vii Hero

Also anybody knows how many watt the headers can hold? i read the manual but cant find anything..

Solution

Yes you will, in the BIOS is will only appear as if 1 fan is connected. Any changes done to that will affect both.
1. The 1st thing you need to check is "Can your header handle the wattage... a 1350 rpm fan like that one should come in at about 0.16 amps... this ones a bit high at 0.24 amps. At this speed, you'd be safe, accounting for inrush current, up to about 0.83 amps so 0.48 < 0.83 OK there.

2. The Hero VII had 4 chassis fan headers ... so the logical answer is ... forget about splitter cables and other alternatives if you don't have all 4 headers in use.

3. A slitter cable is a workable solution tho a less than ideal one. I have drawer full of them that users bought and simply didn't work. Usually of poor quality and they are messy looking. Make sure that one of them is missing the rpm wire or havoc will result.

4. A better solution is a PCB or Fan Hub. These provide a much neater install as you don't have to hide cables going in different directions that are "joined at the hip". ModMyToys offers a less expensive and cleaner solution.

Typically you paste this on the back of the MoBo tray and run the provided cable to the hub from the MoBo header. Yoiu then run the fan cables whereever you want "behind the scenes".

5. Phanteks also has a hib in which you can connect to a PWM hub and provide PWM control of 3 pin fans.

6. I'm pretty sure that the Hero VII has auto senses whether he fans are DCV or PWM but you can also manually set to DCV for the 3-pin fans.

Yes, see above. But it's not the connector that matters, its the number of wires....

For 3-pin fans single end needs 3 wires ... on the other end one fan feed should have 3 and other should have 2 wires. The connector holes with no wires don't do anything

Thank for providing so many useful information!

Can you please explain me some things a little bit more because my english are bad?

Hero Cha_headers are working at fully with 0.83 amps this is a fact?

In the answer 3 what does this mean?: Make sure that one of them is missing the rpm wire or havoc will result.

What is the PCB? And where do you place the fan hub exactly?

I cant find the specific brands you mentioned in my country i' m at Europe Greece is this product any good? https://www.nzxt.com/products/grid
