I'm planning on making maybe a community server, as for like gaming and such.
Thank you for the Feed back

What software do you plan on running on this server.

If it is not high end multi-threaded software then an i3-6100 or even pentium g4620 would actually perform better and use less electricity and heat to do so
and you could use stock cooler.

Why the 4x4gh memory vs 2x8gb?

SSD is just fine for OS drive, no reason at all to change that. If running anything database driven the SSD will be soo much better.

Why the extra network adapter (that is what a NIC is)? If you are needing a second hard wired ethernet connection then TP-Link makes a good gigabit adapter for half that cost. There are certainly better NICs out there, but I strongly doubt that SYBA card has any higher end capabilities the TP-Link one does not.

Definitely scope the purpose before part selection.

If it is just a file server then I don't even recommend building a PC. You can get off the shelf NAS for that, a lot of routers even support just plugging a drive into a USB port. And if you want to build the file server anyway, the OS won't need much space at all, a cheap 32GB drive would be more suitable, and then have the storage drive.

Or even a NUC with an ultrabook processor and external drives would be low-power and fast enough for things like PLEX or BOXEE (Is that still a thing?)
