Hello all,

So here's the deal. I'm looking to buy an SSD to put in my Dell Latitude E6540, and I'm looking at three SSDs from Kingston: UV400, HyperX FURY and SSDNow V300. The thing is that UV400 has the best read/write speeds (550/500 MB/s) than the other two (Fury is 500/500 and the SSDNow V300 is 450/450), yet it's the cheapest one. So what's the deal here? Should I go for the UV400 or is it some kind of a bait, is there something I don't know?

Cheers :)

Solution
At the time I bought it, it was brand new and cheapest one, since than time has rendered it dated and lacking in performance against newer ones. The other two are too close to each other to make any difference.
Stay away from SSDNow V300, I have one since 5 -6 years ago, it's still in good shape but it's noticeably slower than newer ones. Write speed is nowhere close to advertised, mostly hanging about 180 and write speeds where it counts most, 4K is dismal.

Yeah, I imagined it'd perform worse than the other two, but I was unsure because of its price tag. Thanks for the heads up, means a lot. :)

Right, except for the price - the UV400 costs considerably less than the Fury. So I guess I'll just go for the UV400. Thank you for helping me decide on this one, all the best.
