Hello, I have a pretty big problem and i believe not a cheap fix i've been having a CPU overheating problem for a good week now my pc would start freezing and lagging in rainbow six siege, and after a few mins completely frozen so I would turn off my pc then it would start and say CPU TEMP ERROR i would press F1 and it would say my CPU is on 183F temp but my gpu is running at 30 idle and 50-60max load but my CPU is running at 45 idle and alot on load. my fans are currently on max speed and as writing this post still at 45C on 1 screen at 60hz. so i was thinking i should get a new cpu that will make games look better and i will be able to not worry about overheating while playing at 144hz in Rainbow Six but I don't know what to get.

TL;DR id like to know what i can do to fix my cpu overheating for a little bit and what cpu i should look into to get that will work nicely with my specs and 144hz monitor max price 550$ Thanks in advance.

PC SPECS
GTX 970
i5 4690 CPU
SabertoothZ87 Motherboard
16gb of ram
850 power supply
144hz benq monitor
and 60hz samsung monitor

Solution
A good cheap cpu cooler that i think most would recommend for this is a Hyper 212 EVO for a start, but before how long have you had that cpu cooler on the pc because all you might need to do is reapply thermal paste, and that could solve your problem.
