So I didn't know what Intel optane really was and I turned it on. Can this cause serious issues with everything if I run it? I had unstable windows, faulty graphics, memory instability, BSODs...you name it. It just occurred to me after reading something that mentioned optane...it's for a special type of m.2 specifically designed for it...

I feel so stupid because I requested an RMA of my GPU over it.

I wasn't able to even run realbench on my integrated graphics even after 4 passes of memtest turning zero errors. Realbench would cause massive issues and BSODs for a while after using it. Now my computer works great after turning it off...or so it seems. Please someone who knows about optane talk to me about it.

Solution
Well optane is a new way of bridging the gap between system memory and offline memory (hard drives etc) by using high speed flash memory as cache for your hard drives. You have to have supported hardware for this, so obviously you didn't and your PC did a backflip.

You can't use optane without optane equipped hardware, turn it off and don't turn it back on till you get an m.2 or something with optane (not even sure if they're out yet).
