Hello all,

First off, I'm new to the site however ive read many different threads for advice in the past.. and this site has been most informational, so I'm assuming someone will be able to help me. so I appreciate your patience, and most of all, for assisting me.

I currently am running a system with these specs (basic, not to in-depth).

CPU: AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1035T | 2600 Mhz | 6cores
Mobo: Biostar TA870U3+
RAM: 4GB
500 GB HDD
Windows 10

The question is, i like to game and listen to music and occasionally also run a voice chat program when I'm gaming with friends online. and ill use my browser for tips. the 4gb memory isn't enough to support that many programs at once. it gets bogged down and starts to slow down so i want to upgrade my ram to 8gb to be able to multitask just a little more efficiently. so i wanted to some suggestions on what is compatible with my system. and i also wanted to know about how i should go about replacing the memory sticks.. is it simply disconnect the psu and take the ram out? or do i need to go as far as taking the system apart completely and removing the mobo from the case.

i had this in mind but I'm not the most tech savvy person so it was more just window shopping.

Solution
Yeah, can't see why not.
As for replacing sticks, Unplug power, press start button for few seconds, insert RAM and reset BIOS/CMOS.
Check manual where to place sticks, probably in two slots of same color.
