Extending WiFi Wireless Internet

I want to be able to have access about 300 feet further away in just one direction. It is not exactly a straight shot and there are two building that we cannot go above on either end. bill001g 10/01/16 suggested the following for someone not trying to go thru buildings: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/41504-43-boost-wifi-2000-feet-outdoors When you can get a outdoor AP for $75 it is easier to just get something that works and be done with it.

I currently have access about 900 feet in that direction without it being a direct shot (not going thru buildings).

My first time asking a question here. I always get too wordy and with that it may cause more questions or replies back to me so hopefully basics will be better here? Although, this got very wordy. Thanks

RE: Update after my first reply. Thank you. I'm going to be away from my computer for most of the day if not all day. However; as soon as I have an opportunity I will search online to figure out how to post a sketch. Thanks again.

What outdoor access point do you currently use? Is it at the top of building 1 (above 2, 3, 4) ? Are you trying to get WIFI outdoors or inside the other buildings? A directional outdoor AP on the top of building 4 facing building 1 would be the best possibility of getting reliable signal.

Sorry I didn't get back to this question sooner to follow up with what was asked of me. My computer is in a bad state so I borrowed one to follow thru with my question and later ask a question about my computer.

I do not have an outdoor access point. The wireless WIFI internet is "in" building "one" second floor on the side of the building (inside) facing toward buildings 2-4. Second floor building 1 is above buildings 2-4. I'm trying to get WIFI to extend into building 4. Sorry my drawing and post(s) are so confusing. I used outside and sidewalk because when I walk on the sidewalk with my laptop toward building 4, I lose my WIFI about where I marked the sidewalk. Thank you so much for your help!

Is this a commercial problem or a residential problem? That makes a lot of difference in how the landlord will treat you. In a commercial setting you may be able to put an outdoor WIFI device on the roof of building 1. An apartment situation will probably limit what you can do. A directional outdoor device like an Engenius ENS202 in a window or on the outside of the building (patio) might improve things. But unless you can get above buildings 2&3 you will be limited.
