Looking for a new PC build with a budget of 1100-1400. I do not care about load times so im ok with an HDD. Also i would like a case where the PC does not overheat as my current alienware overheats even playing CSGO. (i know its bad).
Anyways, thanks for your help.

Edit: I already have an i7-3770 @3.40 GHz (is this enough?) I also have a GTX 960... is it worth upgrading that also? and lastly I have a 2 TB HDD. I want a PC that will last for years so do I have to upgrade these or not?

If you want the performance an $1,100 to $1,400 PC can offer. Yes, you need to upgrade them. Hard drives don't usually last long so I would replace it. Possibly keeping the other for backups or some other use. I would recommend going with an SSD. It makes a huge difference. At least consider upgrading to a Firecuda SSHD.

This build would be at the top of your budget using premium parts. The case fans will certainly provide ample cool air. I left two heatsinks to choose the one which looks best. I stuck with Newegg and Amazon and Tom's requires for its build contest. Otherwise you could save a few bucks by spreading across more merchants.

At closer to $1,100. I'd focus on taking away from the GPU...

At closer to $1,100. I'd focus on taking away from the GPU. As that is part with the shortest use life. A good case, fans and PSU last a long time. A good CPU and motherboard also have a fairly long life.

Although if you want max performance. You can skip the hard drive and replace it when needed. Plus go with a cheaper but quality PSU. The Rosewill Capstone 650w will provide plenty of power. It just does not have as much extra headroom. It is made of quality parts and manufactured by Super Flower. This will get you to a GTX 1080 and just leave you a little over budget.
