Bios update B150M for intel i7 7700k kaby lake

Solution
You will need to have a skylake cpu installed to allow you to boot into the bios to update it.
If you don't have access to a skylake cpu, return the motherboard and get a B250/H270 instead.

I have a MSI B150 board and a Kaby G4560, MSI has the chip listed on their compatible list but when trying to use it I get nothing but fans and lights no video feed. It would have been extremely nice of MSI to mention that I would need a Skylake chip to first update the bios before I could actually use the Kaby chip since it is listed as compatible, with no mention of it needing an update first. Apparently if this is indeed my problem and the board is not defective, then I need to return my mobo and possibly take a 15% restocking fee since technically there is nothing wrong with my board. Senseless to buy a skylake chip just to update the bios for the Kaby. Now actually I'm just hoping the board is defective, like wth? Seems MSI would update it with the correct bios before shipping since it is not compatible as is, or at least make some mention of the fact a skylake chip is needed first. Well it was going to be my Mom's and she doesn't mind what she has as long as it works. So now she has my "old" 1155 and I'll upgrade to a better board and keep the G4560 for myself. Since it is apparently a pretty good budget chip. Board is now going to be sent back, since for whatever reason it doesn't work for me, anyway thanks for this possible explanation.
