Hi All,

I assembled today my new system . Following are the specs :
i7 6700k processor
Msi krait z270 motherboard
evga gtx 1070 ace 3.0
corsair vengeance 1*8gb 2400 mhz
Acer predator xb241h monitor

Having assembled everything , when i start pc , everything powers up and all fans are running and motherboard has lights on . However, i run in to following problem :
- No display not even boot screen
- No beeps indicating any error code
- No power to mouse / keyboard both connected using usb

I have tried so far :

- Moving Ram in different slots
- Removed graphic card
- Reinstalled my cpu
- Reconnected all wires
- Took it to a local computer store and verified my installation with him

Please help .

Regards,
Nish26

Have removed the mobo out of cabinet and placed on a rubber mouse pad on my table . No graphic card is attached . Tried again by connecting power supplies.
Everything powers up but still no boot menu or beeps. Checked monitor by using hdmi from my laptop. monitor seems to work fine.

The connections seem ok. I guess that you've connected the 8 pin CPU power cable, and not the PCIe one.
As for the no signal, you can try testing the DVI connection on the motherboard with a monitor with DVI port and checking the CPU socket for bent pins.

I have used 2*4 pins to connect to cpu power supply and not 1*6 + 1*2 which i think is for gpu.
I tried on a different monitor with on board dvi connection in a local store near my place. How can i check for bent pins on cpu and what can be done if the pins are bent on cpu?? i just purchased everything brand new.

Someone told me on msi forums that there are no more beep codes , i should consider looking at the EZ code that are basically 4 leds . I powered on again and i can see boot, vga, dram not glowing at all but only cpu led keeps glowing. Any one can help me debug that please? I checked the pins they are not at all bent.

Yes the cpu fan is spinning . I am using an 4-5 year old power supply .. Coolermaster thunder 600 watts with a 2*4 pin attached to 8 pin cpu power input plug.
Here is the link to my power supply : http://www.coolermaster.com/powersupply/thunder/thunder-600w/ . Is it possible that it is providing a different power output to my cpu then what it is expecting since it is a older one ?? Please someone verify it for me as i lack the technical understanding about volatages and all.

As far as I see it, lot of the people having those problems are using the Corsair Vengeance LPX sticks (different Mhz though).
Did you get it solved?
