No display through graphics card

I am getting no display through new gpu, I have been reading articles about how to fix it and their all saying to connect hdmi to mother board but I have no ports on there.

Ok. Anything else changed in the upgrade? Seems odd the old card no longer works. I'd check over all your cable connections again. Maybe try a CMOS clear by removing motherboard battery for awhile.

It's a msi 970A-G43 motherboard a and fx 6950 processor 700w coolermaster power supply and 16 gb ram. I used to have a r9 270 but recently bought a gtx 600 series gpu (I don't know the full name but it's a 600 series) I tried to use the new gpu but I got no display so I tried changing back to the r9 270 and I'm still not getting anything
