Current situation with AMD and OPENGL

I am planning to build a new gaming rig with upcoming AMD's Vega and Ryzen but I heard that AMD have a really bad record with OPENGL performance before. Since I never buy an AMD GPU before, I'd like to ask is this true? if it is how about current gen of AMD's GPU lineup does they suffer the same problem?

not bad but more like they don't put much effort when it comes to OpenGL. Raja outright mentioned that during recent CES that they did not put much effort for OpenGL compared to Vulkan.
