Hi guys.. so , I wanna upgrade my GPU.

My gear..

Amd x6 FX-6300 3.5/4.2 Ghz
8 GB of RAM ddr3
Ati Radeon HD 5670
motherboard: AsRock 970 Pro3 R2.0
Power: ATX Real Power Ultron ECO silent bronze 600w

So I'm trying to find a graphic card but don't want to change other parts.. was thinking of getting XFX Radeon RX 470 Single fan 4GB ,GDDR5 true OC.

How does that sound ? Or maybe something else ? Wanna play all the latest games high/ultra stats. Any other recommendations ?

What resolution are you wanting to play new games at high or ultra at?

With your CPU and 8gb system ram you are in good shape to use a 470, in games that primarily use GPU power. Rise of the Tomb Raider is an example. In games that leverage CPU power, usually open world games fall in this category, certain settings set to high/ultra will bring performance down and the 470 can't really help you there. In addition, the 470 in general is a good 1080p card but I don't think you can expect to run ultra settings at 60fps on it at 1080p in every game no matter what CPU you might have.

In short, yes you could use a 470 but ultra is probably asking too much.

should be fine but you do see here that asrock had given a bios update that covers ''Improve PCIE compatibility '' so that ''MAYBE'' needed to support these newer released cards ??

http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/970%20Pro3%20R2.0/?cat=Download&os=BIOS

so if you board has that bios 2.60 or higher you should be fine if lower and the card don't work correctly you may need to flash up to it
