cpu or cpu socket failure?

i finally got my PC i built running and i was installing my drivers/utilities when the power to my place went down. it will boot when i take the CPU out but when i place it back in it boots for 5 seconds turns off then boots again and fails repeat. my build is :
MSI B150 Gaming M3
Intel dual core i3 6100k 3m cache
125 GB PNY SSD
1 TB WD HDD
2x4 Ballitix Ram sticks DDR4 2133mhz
Gigabyte 1060 DDR5 3GB
Corsair H80i v2
Evga 500W bronze

Hi exec_panda :)

A system will not boot nor any display to monitor without the CPU and if power went down during Windows driver installation then you may have corruption with your windows files.
Best is to Clear CMOS and try again.
If then it fails to past post cycle you should look at your RAM (if led continually remains lit). Post cycle will not continue until this is rectified. You would also get this debug condition if no RAM installed.
If system posts and fails at Windows splash screen then attempt a system repair. If that fails then do a fresh install of the OS...

another thing is that my RAM led EZ DEBUG Light is always on does ram affect this somehow? im not even getting a picture on my monitor when i take ram or CPU out

This also depends on the CPU being installed correctly and no MB socket pins are bent.
