Hello.

Recently my cooling failed while I was away from my PC. When I came back, I noticed that it's not working (pump entirely stopped), and my computer started to act really weird, when I moved the mouse it was terribly glitching, stuttering so I quickly turned the computer off. I fixed the cooling and rebooted the PC, but the problem doesn't seem to be gone. It is stuttering much lighter than it was, but it still happens. It happens mostly on opening programs, it lags for 1-2 seconds, opening programs also heavily glitches and distorts the music if it's playing (sometimes even cuts it off completely).

I've formatted my system, flashed my BIOS, did a CMOS reset, ran memcheck, hard drive diagnostics, cpu diagnostics, played around with ram (removed it, ran only with ram in 1 slot) and nothing has sadly helped. Everything seems to be in order, every component passed its test, but the PC continues to stutter.

Can anyone please help me? What could've happened? Was hardware damaged?

Thank you!

I would try installing another compatible processor and see if thats your problem. It is possible you damaged your processor.
Order one off amazon or newegg, swap it out with your old one. If it works, voila problem solved, you done fried your old processor and now you have a new one installed.

If your still having issues return the new processor you ordered and it may be you fried up some components on your mobo and your mobo may be bad. Only one way to find out, swap it and see. You can always return the new item for a refund if it doesnt solve your problem. Then come back here and let us know. Good luck
