Hey guys! My rig:
Nvidia GTX950
AMD FX - 6300
8 GB DDR3
So I'm having the stock cooler of the FX6300, and it quietly gets overheated when I'm gaming (for instance with CS GO). The PC hasn't got so much space since it's under my writing desk, and it's covered from the two sides(there is no different place i could put it in).
I'm wondering about buying a Hyper evo 212. But my case is quiet old, hasn't got so much gaps the wind can blo thru, I think that can be another reason of the overheatings ( the cpu gets so noisy at this time )
MY QUESTION : Should I go for the Hyper evo 212, or consider buying a new case with extra builtin ventillators, or one that is a little bit more open-air? Tell me your thoughts please.

Thank you in advance.

Understood. Many such desks are not really PC friendly.

Still, my recommendation is to get the PC out of there. Unplug the cables etc., at the computer, move it out, and set it up on top of the writing desk, and reconnect the cables.

Just a temporary setup to see if proper airflow solves the problem. Lable the wires and take photographs if necessary to be sure you reconnect everything correctly. Make the move with power off and unplugged.

If proper airflow helps then you can consider your options accordingly: e.g., drilling ventilation holes, re-arranging the layout - there are available extension cables to help when cables are too short.

Heat is an enemy of electronics - may not take too much more to cause permanent damage...

Air flow is air flow and if there is not enough space around and under your writing desk it is unlikely that more fans or ventillators will help.

Air flow will still "bottleneck" with the two desk sides.

Was the PC working before without overheating or did the overheating just start?

Despite the inconvenience I would pull the PC out from under the desk and game for awhile just to be sure that something else is not the culprit.

I.e., the PC might still overheat.

Is the writing desk just one of those pre-fab desks commonly sold in big box stores? Is is possible to first drill a few strategically placed holes on the two sides to allow air flow?

Something to consider if it is just a matter of airflow/ventilation.

alright so the overheating does happen since i've built the pc.
The writing desk is exactly the on pre-fabed, hence i can't pull out the case, many cables are way too short for instance
the mouse cable is 2m long, there's a gap in the back of the desk the cables go thrugh, so i can't get out the pc.
