How do I put Windows 10 on a secondary hard drive?

So I bought a Western Digital Blue hard drive for my cousin and I was wondering how I can put Windows 10 on it. The computer I am currently using is using Windows 10. I had Windows 7 before and I upgraded to Windows 10 for free.

Is there anyway to put Windows 10 on the hard drive I bought without buying an installation disk? I have a USB drive, maybe I can put Windows on it?

Completely unsure of what you are asking here.

You will have 2 systems?
But currently one OS? Win 7 upgraded to Win 10?

For this second system, it needs it's own OS that you buy.


If I have got this wrong, please correct my assumptions.

That's how I read it too.

You can download the Windows 10 ISO from Microsoft. Once you have this you can then use this on the USB flash drive. However you can't install your version of Windows to more than one PC at a time. If you do you will end up invalidating your copy of Windows. 1 license, 1 PC.

I just want to install windows 10 on the other hard drive so I may give it to my cousin.

Give it to your cousin, to use in a whole other PC?
You can't do this, for multiple reasons.
