I recently upgraded my Vista laptop to Win 7 and since that I keep getting an error message that says it failed to open this file: e287b6.22df579 from my user appdata\roaming. I have tried everything including checking event logs, MsConfig, deleting the file, looking at the Boot MNGR and repair service with no luck. Anyone know what this could be?

appdata / roaming is the folder that contains information specific to your user account. Maybe try deleting your current user account and creating a new user account.
