Fx 6300 vs i7 2600k

Bought an old thinkcentre pc for 20 bucks, has an i7 2600k in and I was wondering if it would be better to drop my current build for this until I upgrade from the fx6300 to something beefier. Using a radeon rx 480 8gb, which of these will bottleneck LESS since either way I will def have some bottle necking.
Specs below for each
Current specs:
Hdd 1tb hd
Fx-6300
2x 4gb dd3 ram
Msi 760gm-p23 mb

Read me clearly. There is absolutly nothing the 2600k wont be able to do vs that fx-6300...
And there is atleaste 20 things that the 6300 wont be able to do...

If its for gaming? 2600 can handle single core games WAY.. when i mean, way i mean.. WAAAAAAYYY better than the 6300..

And if u OC, you wont be missing much from newer processors... Its still an old CPu but, it is the best old cpu you can get out there.
