Tom's Hardware did an article on them here: http://www.tomshardware.com/news/evga-supernova-g3-psu-fan,32995.html

The main difference is that they are smaller, so they'll allow more space inside of your case. I purchased the 750W G3 for my build recently and it is quite compact which I like. However, it was only 10 dollars more than the G2 when I bought it. For a 30 dollar price difference I would have went with the G2.

How is the noise level of the 750w G3? I am after a dead quiet PSU, what's your oppinion about it?

I do see that G3 overall is bit smaller than the G2 which means smaller fans, could create more noise maybe than a larger fan? Also the bearings used on G3 is hydrolic dynamic vs. double ball for G2. also perhaps a smaller size psu might get bit warmer than a bigger one? I plan on installing inside a 4U server case (vertically mounted) and wanting to know which might be a better option for being quieter with less heat..
