Hi all.

I've been doing research into upgrading a hand me down computer with a Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33ghz CPU and 8 gigs of ram, Windows 10, 300 Watt power supply.

I've found various articles and forum posts, but nothing too recent in this regard.

It is is my understanding that a GTX 750 Ti is my best bet for this computer.

I would appreciate it if anyone had a thought on if this is still true, or if something new had popped up recently that might help give this old dinosaur some new legs.

Thanks so much for any help!

Adam

well your biggest hurdle right off the top will be that 300w power supply. I have a Q8300 2.5 so you have similar box than I do.
I run mine with a HD5750, and I am looking for a GTX 660 or 750 ti myself so I would say your on the right track, except that PSu needs changing.
