Hi all

I am desperately looking for help with my new build PC.
I have build PCs before so not new to this.

I have a Core i5 7500 and a stock heat sink.
H110M-S2H Gigabyte motherboard.
2x 8gb RAM corsair 2133Hz DDR4
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB Graphics card
550W PSU

I built it all up, connected both power leads to the board and everything else etc and it keeps rebooting every 10 seconds or so. All the fans come on. No video at all. I have not had the opportunity to install windows etc.

The board was slightly curved so I firstly took all the components off and had just the CPU and heat sink on the board outside the case. Still no joy - so I got a replacement motherboard (same type) and still no joy! I am waiting for a motherboard speaker I have ordered but wondering if I have been really unlucky with the motherboard and whether to order a different model just to see if it is that? I have the motherboard on a piece of cardboard and nothing else connected. The monitor is connected via the VGA cable rather than HDMI - have tried that too.

All help really appreciated! Thanks in advance.

NO !
Any motherboard you buy might not have the latest bios required, so you will have the same problem.
Bare in mind the motherboards are manufactured many months before ending in your case and ship with an earlier bios which might not support 7th gen chips.
If you can find a mobo manufacturer that can guarantee it shipped with Kaby Lake 7th bios support then ok, but those that state "supports Kaby Lake" miss out the fact that it requires a bios update before it will work.
As you can see from the Novatech website in the UK, they clearly state this case (scroll down to the big red warning text)...
I think you may have hit a "gotcha" here.
Your H110M motherboard requires a bios update to work with 7th gen i5 chips.
However, you cannot do the BIOS update with your i5 7500 installed as the H11M does not recognise it yet until the new bios is installed. You need to use a 6th gen chip to do the bios update, then you can install your 7th gen chip.
The latest bios for your board is F20 (2016/11/14) which is the one needed to fix the 7th gen blindness according to your mobo website.

Since you have no way of knowing which bios version is on the board (as you cant get to the BIOS screen), you are screwed !
You may need to ask someone to lend them a 6th gen chip to do the bios update.
Hope this is helpful and my understanding of the problem is correct.

You will need to buy a Z270 or H270 mobo which (I think) supports Kaby Lake straight out of the box.
