So I bought a G4560 with a H110M board and the BIOS needs to be updated to support this processor. So I basically need a SkyLake CPU to update the BIOS before my G4560 will work with the motherboard. My friend has an i3-6100 and he is coming later today to let me use his processor to update my motherboards BIOS, and I am just wondering will it affect anything on his computer? Would he lose files or settings or anything like that? I don't want anything to happen to his computer basically. So if I can use his CPU for 15-20 mins to update the BIOS, pop it back in his PC without a problem, that would be great.....
