i7 3770 vs i5 4690 for gaming

I would go with the i5-4690 unless the i7-3770 is cheaper or there is some other benefit.

I would also see what RYZEN ends up costing. Are you really getting an i7-3770 for cheap enough to justify the lack of warranty and older motherboard?

What happens if the used CPU or motherboard dies in six months and you have to replace it?
