So, whenever I open any of my Steam games, (Rust, Turbo Dismount, CIV 5, Dirty Bomb, Garry's Mod) I get a message that says "Oops! The game crashed. The crash report folder named "date and time" next to game executable…" It happens on everything but CIV 5 and G MOD, which just opens for a split second and then closes instantly. I have a Gateway FX-6801-03 with a core i7 920 @ 2.67 GHZ, 9 gb of DDR3 ram, a gtx 750 which I just installed. I just got this thing and I have been trying anything, someone please help!

Try downloading a small (and free) game such as Team Fortress 2 and test if that game crashes. If it does then I would try reinstalling Steam completely and then giving it another try and if that doesn't solve it then it might be a problem with your OS. I've never seen this problem before so I am unsure why this is occurring but give those methods i mentioned a try and if it works then i'm glad it helped.

If TF2 works when installing it then I would uninstall every game you own and reinstall them.

I'll try this now. However, I had just installed Windows 7, only downloading graphics card drivers, google chrome, steam, and some other games, and have already reinstalled steam and all my games before.

uh oh. I didn't know that! Hopefully it's as simple as that! How would I do that?

Sorry for the late reply, but none of this has worked. Do you have any other suggestions?

Download this. http://getintopc.com/softwares/utilities/visual-c-plus-plus-redistributable-packages-free-download/
Install every C++ (because different games use different ones).
Restart your PC once you installed ALL of them. (You might want to restart once you installed all of them then restarting after each one.)

If this doesn't work try and download DX10.1 or DX11 or DX12.

The C++ installation didn't work, but how do I install the DX10.1/11/12?

Where do I go from there? I don't see where I can download those from that site.

Edit: I am up to date at DirectX 11. I cannot update to DX12 as it is unsupported on windows 7.
