Skylake vs Kaby Lake build worth upgrading?

I've had a build planned for a few months now, waiting until I've saved up enough money, with the following basic parts:
-i5 6500
-Gigabyte GA-B150M-D3H motherboard
-8gb RAM 2133Mhz

Now that Kaby Lake is out, I'm not sure if it would be worth upgrading to
-i5 7500
-Gigabyte GA-B250M-D3H motherboard
-8gb 2400Mhz RAM

It would cost a little bit more and I doubt the difference will be very big at all for gaming and general use, so I wanted to ask if there is any reason to go for the Kaby Lake build? I could also mix and match since those two CPUs and mobos are all compatible with each other. However, in that case I'm not quite sure if I would need 2133 or 2400 RAM.

Thanks!

Your topic title suggests that you have Skylake build and you're planning to upgrade it to Kaby Lake build. I based my reply on to that.

Since this is not the case, go for Kaby Lake build off the bat.

Here's one complete build that you can go for.

I haven't bought anything yet, this is the first time I'll be building a computer.

I realize the title wasn't entirely clear, sorry about that. I already have the whole build planned out but thanks for the effort!
