I ran across the sniper elite games v1 v2 and v3, cant wait for v4 in a couple of days. anyways. I can play v2 and v3 on my system but when I try to play v1 my monitor gos black with the notice of "no signal" but I can hear the game in the background. I hit Alt and Esc to get out of it but when I try to play it again It does the same thing. I am running windows 7 and mounted it with deamon tools lite. what could cause this and how do I fix it so I can play the game. Oh I am also running it on my AMD Radeon 5700 series. Please let me know if there is a fix so I can play this on my PC. thank for your time in this matter

Must be an issue with the disc version because the steam version worked for me on 7. Try registering your key with steam and downloading their version and see if it runs.

Other things to try are running the game .exe as admin and running in compatibility mode.

tried the fix's mentioned, no luck. I have un-installed the game from my machine and just bought the game on steam, downloaded it and installed it , launched it and I still have the same problem. Black screen on launch with (" NO DVI SIGNAL ").I can hear the game play in the background just no signal in background went into steams setting and set it for -60Hz and still no luck. So no matter if I bought this game at a used store or bought it on steam I still have the same problem. Does anyone know of a fix for this? can this be a graphic card problem? wrong drivers or something like that? My GPU card is up to date and I am running DirX 11
these are my specs:

Wow was this a lot of hassel and work just to get this game going.
I have contacted Rebellion support and they have confirmed that they have recently become aware of this issue and that they are looking into it. After nurmus contacts back and fourth with them and A whole lot of attempts to fix this, from updating GPU drivers , changing setting in steam to changing from DVI cables to VGA cables and it still didn't work, no game just sound. Finally I got a work-around for this and it worked for me just sucks that I have to keep doing this change just to play but at lease I get to play it now. They are still looking into a fix for this but

Meanwhile they have given me a workaround that fixed the issue for me. If you set your desktop resolution to 1024 x 768 then the game will start and run as normal in Steam and you can then change the setting within the game to run at its max resolution, you just have to change back your desktop resolution when your done. This works for me and I hope it helps someone else out with the same problem.

It makes a real and pleasant change to receive such rapid and helpful support from a develepor now. and to bignastyid, thank you very much for all your help on this too. even with the confusion that we had this is still the best place for help and info. Thank you very much.
