I'm not entirely sure where to ask this at, but this is a shot in the dark. I'm trying to identify what type of cable this is and how I can connect a USB connector or similar plug for a computer to it. This is what it looks like.

There are 15 smaller wires inside with the colors:
red black
red
red yellow
red green
brown
green
black
orange
pink
white
yellow
gray
blue
darker brown
purple

If anyone has any ideas on what this could be and how i could connect it to a computer please let me know!

I want to preface this by saying i don't know a lot about cables that arent generic video cables. However, through some quick research ive been able to find that they look like they are more specialized cables for point of sale machines in medical equipment.

***Remember i could be wrong but this is just what i found***

Does the cable in the second link look familiar?

The markings are just electrical ratings so could be used on any number of electrical devices and gives no clue to what the cut end is. The card reader end should have a model or some number to what it is then you can just look up all the info you need. But from the number of wires and how heavy duty that wire is, there's no way it's a reader that interfaces directly with a pc. It's going to connect to control hardware and that may or may not connect to a pc over a network.
