questions about UEFI

i read online that the GTX 1060 Ti requires a mobo with uefi im looking to buy a 1060 but i doubt my pc supports uefi my pc is an HP Z400 did i read right or am i reading wrong im confused

also if the 1060 wont work seeing as how my pc doesnt have a uefi bios what amd card would be best for 1080p gaming

looking to replace my 960 with something more powerful as for budget dont have one yet i will be saving up for said card

As much as the motherboard you have, and if it is old so it only has the option to pick up legacy based or enabled hardware.

It depends on the graphics card you buy.
Some cards with come with a switch that can allow you to change from a UEFI bios of the card to a Legacy based one for compatibility with older motherboards.

The cards often come with a small toggle switch that is used to switch between the two types of bios.
