I have 10 dell latitude XT2 model to resell..problem is the micro SATA HDD it came with are not working...so i have one hack..either get a msata ssd with a micro sata hdd adapter......then again, it does have a wwan slot that is empty...can i use a m.2 in that slot or will it be a mSATA? which one is a better option? Also if you could enlighten me with the various form factors and pins and notches of M.2...Thank you in advance :)

You need an mSATA drive if you want to use the slot that a wireless card will go into, and make sure it's the correct size for the mSATA drive, some are very short.

You can find all the M.2 connectors in Wiki or the drive vendor pages.
